A Simple Realization
What we put on our bodies matters just as much as what we put in them!
Our journey began not in a laboratory, but through a personal search for better health, balance, and awareness in everyday life.
Our Story
After nearly a decade in a managerial role with a multinational company in Bangkok, the demands of corporate life began to affect my health and wellbeing. What once felt exciting gradually became unsustainable.
A hair mineral analysis later revealed unusually high selenium levels. The question that followed was surprisingly simple:
“What shampoo are you using?”
That moment changed the way I looked at everyday personal care products.
Like many people, I simply bought whichever shampoo happened to be on promotion at the supermarket, assuming that an FDA approval meant it was safe. Reading ingredient labels was never something I thought about.
The Turning Point
After seeing my hair test results, Robert (my Nutritional Balancing Practitioner & later my business partner) gave me a bottle of the 100% chemical-free probiotic shampoo he recommended to his clients.
That simple change sparked a deeper curiosity. As I researched the ingredients commonly found in personal care products, I was surprised by the potential long-term effects many of these chemicals can have on our bodies and the environment.
Selenium, for example, is an essential mineral for the body — but as we know, too much of anything is never beneficial.
Like many others, I had assumed that if a product was available on store shelves, it must be safe. It made me wonder how many people were still unaware of what they were applying to their bodies every day. We often pay close attention to what we eat, yet rarely question what we put on our skin.
Over time, as my selenium levels gradually decreased and I experienced the benefits of these pure ingredients, I knew I could never return to conventional chemical-laden shampoos.
The Birth of Conscious Living
These products were uniquely formulated without harsh chemicals and developed through years of research by American and Thai microbiologists before being introduced successfully in the United States.
What surprised me most was that these premium Thai-made products were not easily available in Thailand. With the support of local producers and communities in Northern Thailand, I began sharing them with friends and family. The overwhelmingly positive response led to the birth of Conscious Living.
The Journey
Like many purpose-driven brands, our early years were not easy. Introducing chemical-free probiotic personal care required patience, persistence, and a strong belief in what we were building.
Today, more than a decade later, Conscious Living continues to grow. Our products are now available at leading stores across Bangkok and internationally in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany and the United States, among others.
As the brand continues to evolve, it has also become a family journey. My two daughters have begun showing interest and are slowly becoming involved, bringing fresh perspectives and helping shape the future of Conscious Living.
What began as a personal search for better health is now evolving into a shared journey — one that I hope will continue with the next generation.
